Purchase Base Accounting

hi gurus,

Can u tell me please,

I have activated purchase base accounting,maintained EKG & EIN.

my concern is when i do procurement for any cost center & third party ,at the time of GR my consumption account is debited.here my purchasing g/L is not updating ,how to book purchase then...

Hi

When you are doing a Purchase with reference to a Cost center, it essentially mean, you are doing purchase with reference to a cost center. It means in business terms that you are essentially incurreing a cost and not creating an asset in terms of stock. that is why your Purchase GL is not updating. If you do a normal purchase order, it will book to your Purchase (Stock) GL.
