Hi,

I have a requirement like if the user enters Bus.Area 'X' in the line item system should only accept the Profit center 'X' in line item. How to write validation please advice.

Dear Sridhar,

You can restrict this by validation it is not at all posiible with substitution.

Go to GGB0 and

Prerequisite business area

Check profit center

You can mention the substitution rules throuhg Tcode GGB1.

if u want meet your requirement you should use Substituiton not validation

and also if you provide full details linke where and when you want substitute this field i can help you
