Subtotals - total Cost

A client is using the subtotals to display the anticipated revenue in the quotes which works fine. however, they would also like to see the total anticipated cost in the same row. They are using multiple subtotals per document.

the est cost is available in the gross profit base price field (GROSSBUYPR column) which shows the est cost per unit. to arrive at the total cost this field would have to be multiplied with the quantity field which is easy to do. However, i am unable to get this to work with the subtotal function. Any ideas?

they are using SAP2007A PL42
