WIP Status for SAP B1

Hello SAP community,

We are using SAP B1 and struggling with SAP showing inventory that is physically "in process" on 'Released' production orders as still available in raw materials for other orders. In looking on the forum I see how this can be done with milestone reporting in the full version of SAP to provide a WIP report, but I do not see how to accomplish this with business one? Is there is a way to remove in-process inventory from raw material automatically when a production order is released in the Business One system?

Graham,

Prior to the receipt from production the WIP can be identified a couple of ways.

1. The committed, on the inventory data tab in item master data, equals production order quantity for the BOM component (unless also sold individually). To view detail right click and drill into available-to-promise. Production order documents are PW xxxxx.

2. Write a query over the Production order files OWOR and WOR1.

Hi Melvin,

You can set all your raw materials in Production order as "Back Flush". But raw material will only auto issue once you received the final finished product.

There is no way that Raw material is issued based on production order status changed to release.

You can use issuance method back flush in production order when ever you close production order issuance of material will be done automatically..
