Hi All,

Before the Upgrade i am trying to run the program RSAU_UPDR_REACTIVATE_ALL.

When i run it, this job isnt doing any thing for almost more than 7k to 10k seconds. Nothing shows in the Job log. It is just filling the file sys.

Today all the process chains didnt ran. had to clear the cache.

Is there any way i can run this program without any issue like this.

In the system log when i schedule this job int he background i can see this in sm21

Error 28 for write/read access to a file. File =

' When it accessed a file, the TemSe software received an unexpected

error message from the operating system (or file system). The message

contains the current file name and the value of the "errno" variables

of the C system.'

write(2)

No free space is left on the file system containing the file.

Error at DB commit, return code 001024

The SAP commit has failed. Analyze the preceding system log entries.

A sap note mentions to run the transaction code /$sync to reset all the buffers before running this programm.

But when to run this or is it suggestable to run Or any other way i can run this program before the start of upgrade?

Kindly suggest/

Thanks & Regards

Hi, you can run the /$sync transaction when you guess necessary, depends your business and data volume, user accessing your system, etc..

We suggest to run this /$sync once a week and when no user or less users accessing the system.

Thanks,

Walter Oliveira.
