Vendor Address (LFA1 and ADRC tables)

Former Member

He experts!!

When creating a new vendor in transaction XK01 it is generated one entry in table LFA1 and 2 entries in table ADRC.

The two entries of table ADRC have two different Address numbers (ADRC-ADDRNUMBER) but all other fields are equal between the two entries.

1 LFA1 line --> 2 ADRC lines

How can I do for setting up the system so that only one ADRC line is created per LFA1 entry.

Many thanks,

Ezequiel

Hi

if there are 2 different ADRC-ADDRNUMBER this means that 2 separate and different address are getting created !!

To point at one of the above replies you got, the international address version (IAV) does not change the address number. The differences is in field ADRC-NATIO which is part of the key.

For both address you should look to which object it is related.

In order words, who is the owner of the address.

This is stored in table ADRV.

In case the vendor is the owner of the address, field ADRV-APPL_TABLE will be LFA1 and the vendor number will be in ADRV-APPLKEY in the following form (MANDT+LIFNR)

eg: for mandant 002 and vendor HUGO, this will be 002HUGO

Now, you should be able to determine which object is the owner of the second address.

Nota: ERP 2005 has introduced the so called, master data synchronisation. It might be that the vendor you have created has been synchronised with an ERP Business Partner. In other words, the second address might be owned by the corresponding Business partner

Are you sure two entries are created in ADRC, checked in our system, I am finding only one per vendor. May the address has been modified which would have resulted in two addresses, but normally only one address is created in ADRC per one entry in LFA1

Hi,

Yes, it was working fine util last week, now every vendor is created two addresses are created per vendor (at the very first time it is created).

Thanks,

maybe the international adress version is switched on.

Means that one vendor master has 2 adresses, one in countries local language and characters (e.g. chinese) and the other is in english

Hi,

I have checked in table V_SAPTSADV that there is no version activated.

Thanks,

Try to search invoke.

Take your 2 ADRC adress numbers, and search with both for records in table LFA1 and KNA1.

If vendor is used for subcontracting, then you have to create a customer master for this vendor master, to be able to create a delivery note. In this case, of course, the adress is identical in ADRC.

This is not the case, there is no entry in customer table (KNA1).
