EP7: Transport KM config with CTS+

Hi all,

I have a little problem on this subject: I am trying to transport KM config with CTS+ as in Link: [SAP Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/e1/029c414c79b25fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm]

In the menu action, I don't have the choice Actions -> Export -> Finalize via CTS. I only have Export -> finalize (used for manual import as described in the help) or Export -> Create transport package with CTS.

If I choose this solution, I can attach a file to my transport request, I am able to release the transport request and to import it in the target system.

Sound perfect, isn't it, but when I restart my target portal, there is no modification!

In the logviewer I found some errors (only summary):

com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.config.ConfigDeploymentHandler Unable to read the manifest data from MANIFEST.MFKMConfigTransportFile.par.configarchive

Strange, my file as 2 extensions!

Then

Upload handler failed com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.config.ConfigDeploymentHandler

And finally:

com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalException: Application upload failed: KMConfigTransportFile.par

CTS+ is working fine when I transport PCD objects as iviews, pages...

Any idea?

Did you restart the Application Server for the target system.

I have the same problem with CTS+ that fail to transport *.par files. Appreciate if you could share if you have resolved this issue.

Hello all,

- If someone is interested in transporting KM configuration with CTS+ :

SAP said it's a known issue upgrade to EP7 SP17.

- For Budi: I succeed in transporting PAR files with their related iviews,

In properties of your transport package :

Did you check Resolver references?

Did you set your reference filter correctly? For example com.myCompany.myClient (as for your PAR).

You should also check some properties in the PCD : Pcd.TransportApplication.Export.ExcludeObjectTypes, Pcd.TransportApplication.Export.ExcludeObjectTypesAfterRuleProcessing... Have a look at sap.help for more information on this point.

I think you should open your own question. I think you will have more chance to have an answer : if I understand well your problem is CTS+ and PAR files and not CTS+ and Km config files (which can be packaged in .configarchive.PAR).

Additionaly you will be then able to give points to people with good answer.
