Message while upgrade Logon not possible (error in license check)

Hello,

While upgrading we are facing the issue of login into the system .

Its giving message of Logon not possible (error in license check)

Its not allowing any user to login other that sap*

Please find the log also

This is R3trans version 6.13 (release 640 - 21.10.08 - 10:02:00).

2EETW169 no connect possible: "maybe someone set invalid values for DIR_LIBRARY ('/usr/sap/RGM/SYS/exe/run') or dbms_type ('ORA')"

R3trans finished (0012).

Have anybody faced the same issue.

Could you please kindly help me here.

Hi,

What phase did you encounter the error? What's the Oracle database version and client version that you have? (If you can answer these queries since it is required that we do some activities, like modifying the environment variables, if our Oracle version is 10g. Also, the license issue sometimes shows-up on the shadow phase ... when the system tries to check if a digitally signed license is installed as a temporary license is currently used).

Problem solved by changing the Parameter transport/during_upgrade to ON

How r you , I came to Know that you have recently upgraded the System from 4.7 to ECC6 , If you have documents related to that then please help me , as I am in the project of upgrading 4.7 to ECC6

The best documentation you will find is in service.sap.com, there is not an "easy" way to do upgrades because there are too many software variables in the games, so the best you can do is to read the upgrade guide for your OS/DB combo and all related SAP notes. If you do not have an S user then you will need one.
