DSM Terminator

Hi all

I am working on MSS package ITS version and when I swap employee clicking on the link in the Team viewer I get the following message showed up in a new window which appears just for a while:

Closing session

Trasmission Protocol

DSM Terminator v. 6.020

Single URL=http://xxxxx:80/scripts/wgate/webgui/?_{session=xxxxxxx}SAPSessionCmd=USR_ABORT&SAPWP_ACTIVE=1

Any idea to remove this annoying popup?

System Admin --> Support --> Sap Application, at bottom of page (scroll down to) Debug Mode / Session Manager Alerts & toggle to "Off"

Hi,

Please be very aware that switching off DSM is leaving sessions open in the backend.

This can lead to unexpected behaviour like locking and eventually running out of resources.

So only disable it for testin reasons.

Hi

I cannot find the path properly as you wrote down. What I find at SAP Application is:

SAP Transaction - Allows you to launch any SAP transaction with parameters you specified

DSM Logger - Activates/deactivates the Logger for Distributed Session Management.

(Logger is automatically deactivated when you close the browser)

DSM Monitor - Component for testing of DSM interfaces

I got in the three sections and everywhere I could see 'debug mode' is already 'off'

actually I have realised this kind of behaviour as well even though it is rundom, I mean happend not all the time. I thought both problems were linked each other. The point now is how to get rid of the annoying popup and have the usere not locked.

What SP and patch levels are you running on for both Portal and Backend?

Hmmmz ok I see, (with all respect) it's rather outdated I must say...

I checked the ITS behaviour on our SP15, SP16 and SP17 Portals and ECC6 backends with intergrated ITS just now, and we do not get the popups in between sessions, only when loggin of from the Portal there is a small popup stating that the "sessions are being closed" (standard SAP).

Therfore I would suggest to consider an update, because manipulating the DSM by custom coding is kind of tricky I would say as it is standard SAP.

Maybe you could start an OSS message for it and ask if there might be a patch for your releases that might fix this issue.
