Hi
I am using windows 2003 server / SQL 2005.
During the System Copy it is possible to change the SAPSID
I need to change my PRD to DEV. Is it possible ?

Yes, its possible... is indeed part of the HSC itself

Hi Lee,
When you start the 'System Copy' process, thru 'SAPInst.exe'. In the next screens you will need to fill in the following details :-
1) Path for ABAP/Java Component DVD.
2) JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Archive
3) The Kernl DVD path
4) Path where the export of source system is stored.
5) System Id :- <new SID> give new SID here
6) SQL Server Instances:- Which in this case is <db host>.
7) Common Password for all users in this SAP system.

As far as I know you need to change the SID during the system copy but after system copy I think its is not possible.
