Lumira Server Deploy Error

Former Member

Hi All,

I perform a Lumira server installation on an AIX, following the document provided by SAP.

I didn't have any problem with the installation. But after that, when I go to the application in the CMC (in the portal) and perform a right click on the LumiraApp, instead of seeing the options name I received errors names.

Here are the errors:

???dummy.action.Lumira_Properties.display.name???

???dummy.action.BookmarkAdmin_DefaultView.display.name???

???dummy.action.BookmarkCategoryAdmin_DefaultView.display.name???

???dummy.action.BookmarkPropertiesAdmin_DefaultView.display.name???

???dummy.action.Lumira_Extension.display.name???

what did I do until now?

First I look up for notes, but some of those are with status "SAP is investigating this issue"(for example, note 2520016)

Then just clear the cache of NW and then try to access it.

Then I do the following steps mention in a note

Below options are missing -

  1. dummy.action.Lumira_Properties.display.name
  2. dummy.action.BoomarkAdmin_DefaultView.display.name
  3. dummy.action.BookmarkCategoryAdmin_DefaultView.diplay.name
  4. dummy.action.BookmarkPropertiesAdmin_Defaultview.display.name
  5. dummy.action.Lumira_Extension.display.name

We Stopped the SIA.

As now you are taking the backup of cms database giving you the next steps -

  1. Stop the Netviewer
  2. Clear the Netviewer cache.
  3. Copy the dfo files into the Enterprise_XI4.0/packages folder.
  4. Start SIA.
  5. Wait until copied files from Enterprise_XI4.0/packages folder commits to the cms database.
  6. Once the files are copied they will get vanished from the Enterprise_XI4.0/packages folder.
  7. Start the Netviewer.
  8. Check the issue once you will login to the CMC.

If this does not works please do the repair on the Lumira.

Then I perform this steps mention by SAP

  1. Backup the DFOs to be reimported from the <Install Dir>/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/dfo/ sub directories to a safe place.
  2. Backup below dfos -
  3. dummy.action.Lumira_Properties.display.name
    dummy.action.BoomarkAdmin_DefaultView.display.name
    dummy.action.BookmarkCategoryAdmin_DefaultView.diplay.name
    dummy.action.BookmarkPropertiesAdmin_Defaultview.display.name
    dummy.action.Lumira_Extension.display.name
  4. Create a temporary folder somewhere on the machine
  5. Copy the DFOs backed up in step 2 to into the folder created in step 3
  6. Download attached script 'DfoCleanUp' and extract it into the folder created in step 3
  7. Download the multipledfocleanup_unix.zip from the attachment and extract in the folder created in step 3
  8. Edit the multipledfocleanup_unix.sh file and change the password 'PasswordToChange' to be the BusinessObjects Administrator for this environment
  9. Save the change to the batch file.
  10. Update the two .sh files with execute permissions (chmod 755 *.sh)
  11. Source in the business objects environment variable: . <Install Dir>/sap_bobj/setup/env.sh (Note the <dot><space> at the start of the command)
  12. Run the script: ./multipledfocleanup_unix.sh
  13. This step will remove the DFO from the CMS repository, allong with its associated 'DeploymentFile' object
  14. Copy all the .xml files backed up in step 1 to the location: <Install Dir>/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/packages
  15. Restart the SIA

And the last test was to repair the instalation and the also remove the installation and installed again. but the issue still remains.

Hi All, I could solve the issue by re deploying the BOE with all the componentes. Leave the note in case someone has the same issue.

Thanks and regards

Hi Eduardo

This is more of a Server install query and I'd suggest creating an incident with SAP, choosing the BI-BIP-DEP component.

With best regards,
