Hello all,

we are getting the indication of low space on our production server ,

for that we write the mail to SAP also and they give us the following reply after checking our system with WTS connection,

they suggested to increase the dataspace manually,

please provide me the steps how to increase the dataspace manually in SQL 2005 database

our system details are:-

SAP :- ECC6.0

DATABASE:- SQL 2005

O S. :- Win 2003 server

reply of SAP is as give below

-

There are 3,185 MB (4.49 %) free space on database. The datavolumes

E:/RPDDATA1/RPDDATA1.mdf, E:/RPDDATA2/RPDDATA2.ndf,

E:/RPDDATA3/RPDDATA3.ndf and E:/RPDDATA4/RPDDATA4.ndf

has less than 5% of its current assigned MB are free, the rest are used. This is the reason why the warning appears at transaction

db02/dbacockpit.

This warning have noting to do with the free disk space.

If autogrow is activated on database volume, the database is increasing

when all 4 data volumes have a filling level of 100%, not sooner.

This could be result of a hanging situation. We reommend to increase the dataspace manually. The autogrow option should be set only as

secureness.

Hai,

Better way is to search in Google with some key words.

Something like this: Add Data or Log Files to a Database + SQL Server
