error in sender mail adapter

hi,

my business scenario uses a mail adapter at the sender side. when i try to fetch the messages from mailbox using pop 3 protocol, though the connection gets established, the cc monitoring shows 0 new messages found and 0 actions taken. this is the case even though there are mails in inbox.

please help me.
