what are the setting we have to do for creating PR automatically or manually through MRP for a material , i.e detail steps we have tp follow ..

MRP type - PD (MRP 1 view)

Proc Type - F (MRP 2 view)

Lot sizing as per your business need.

For manual:

Go to ME51n & create a PR.

Added

Ensure that Purchasing View is created for the material

Hi

In Material master for the particular material MRP Type, Re-order point level, LOt size and procurement indicator will play a role in creating automatic PR in every MRP run. IN MRP run u need to maintain the parameters.

How can view wheather PR is generated through MD03 because i m not getting any message while saving data in MD03

hi,

When ever you save the MD03, behind the scene the PR doc is generated or will be generated...for this you shd check MD04 or MD05...you can see your doc generated here ...

Dear IN MD04 or MD05 it is only showing 2 fields i.e in MRP it is stock and available quantity, no PR number is generated .

Can you provide us the details of the material i.e. MRP parameters you have maintained & also the present stock level & the demand for this material?

i have provided MRP type PD and lot size FS Fixing and Splitting, fixed lot size 200 ,Procurement type f and quota arr. ussage in MRP2 ,Availibilty check '2' , Mixed MRP in MRP 3 view

hi,

In MD04/05 it will show the doc with the todays date, MRP element as which doc is generated and MRP element data as what is the doc number...and from the same transaction you can convert the PR to PO as well...for the qty shown in fornt of it...

check properly...

For MRP to generate a PR, there should be a need for the part or the stock must have fallen below the safety stock level, so check the stock level. If you want to simulate, then just specify a safety stock above the present stock level & run MRP.

System will not generate a PR if there is no need for the material. So place a need for this material in system via MD61 or just maintain a safety stock level in your mtl master which is above the present stock. Then run MRP, system will generate a PR.

Hope the above steps are clear. Simulate the same & revert if you face any issues.

Ok go to MD21, check if the material has a planning file entry, if not, make an entry via MD20. Ensure that the plant stock level is below the safety stock entered in the mtl master, re-run MRP.

Check & revert.

Let me know your planning file entries, if the processing key is NETCH or NETPL then change it to NEUPL and then try to run...

Also post all your entries/details of MMR and MD03 and source list as well..

Hi,

It would be nice if you can post the MRP parameters you have maintained, the stock level, the demand if any for this material here. As we are not able to see your system & unless you can provide all the details it would be very difficult to be of any help. So please post all the details for this material.

Hi,

You have to activate MRP for the plant in SPRO- Matetailas management-Consumption basd planning-Planing. Also maintain plant parameters.

Maintain MRP type and lotb size in MRP 1 view in MMR.

Use T code MDO3 to rum MRP and MD04 to view stock requirement list.

hi,

In planning run ie. in MD03,you use the PR indicator as "1 or 2" as per your req. and other indicators as least priority in the MD03...so that the system when run, it makes the PR doc auto...

also use the PRocurement type indicator as F in the MMR in MRP2 view...

by these two fields you can get the PR generated automatically..
