Anybody use Transport Copies using CHaRM

Did anybody use transport copies options in CHaRM? When I use it's displaying only the transport created using CHaRM. But I need the transport created outside CHaRM?

By the time configured CHaRM, developer already working on the development system and created quite bit of Transport requests. Now wants to include all those transport request into CHaRM created transport request.

Looking for 2 options.

1) Register Transport Requests

2) Transport Copies

Tried both are not working. If any otherway please suggest.

we have the same issue when we have to import transport coming outside the "official" CHARM development system.

Just transfert you transport to the Charm dev system (If the transport was created in the same system this is even more simple you don't need this)

In your CHARM correction in development status create the transport request and just insert the old one into the new one.

    How to proceed ?

In the CHARM development system go in the new empty SOLMAN transport (not the task !) with SE01 for example.

Go in change mode (pencil icon) and copy object lists from u201Coldu201D CTS to new SOLMAN CTS via the menu Request/task and interm Object List/Include Objects.

You get a prompt with the transport to copy

It will be added to the task of the new transport. Thus you don't need "transport copies" (which is technically a transport who dies in QA)

Attention : if your old "not official" transport is locking workbench object you first need to unlock it by deleting all locked objects line

    I hope it helps

If you want to register transport request to CHARM

    Then check these notes

Note 1150426 - Registering transport requests in ChaRM

Note 1134993 - Checking transport requests outside ChaRM

If you use Change Request Management, you should always use Change Request Management means to create transport requests; that is, create transport requests in a change transaction or in the task list.

Hope these notes solves your problem
