Is it safe/good practice to periodically remove the temp files in /usr/sap/trans/tmp?

Instead of just deleting files from the tmp directory I would rather look at the cleanup of transport requests:

I would leave them alone. Some are needed. If tp is operating correctly there shouldn't be many files in there and they don't take much space.
