Team, I was wondering if we can combine BPC standard cube data with other data sitting in BW4HANA cubes / DSO . Like what I meant is can we have a HANA view created out of BPC standard cube and then use it with other BW4HANA Objects.
nope .. not yet

Hey Greg,
Sorry for not mentioning the SAP BPC 11 NW Standard version.
We are trying to combine the /CPMB cube ( for the planning data) and other HANA cube (non financial data).
We are trying to have a HANA view created out of BPC 11 standard cube(CPMB) with any other BW4HANA Cube/DSO and use it as a common reporting platform.
It also eliminates the usage of ETL activities between the two cubes at the same time leveraging the Plan and Actual data together. However we are trying to find out the pro's and con's of using this approach.

Hi,
you talk about 'BPC standard cube' and BW/4HANA, but BPC version on top of BW/4HANA is BPC 11 and thus BPC Standard in the Standard Model generates aDSOs (cube-like). So why do you want a HANA view on top? BW can access BPC data, technically this is no problem (the persistence is a BW object anyway), but then BPC logic to interpret the data is not used and thus you may get 'wrong' data (account logic, sign logic, ...).
Regards,
Gregor
