I've noticed that B1 allows for sales orders to be edited even after they have been added and printed. For example I can enter a sales order, add it, print it and then go back to it and add or remove items. Is there a way to prevent this? I would prefer that any sales order added be locked so that it can not be edited only canceled.
Hi Robert
Did you check this setting
-System initilisation >Document setting . Document
Sales Order
Allow changes in existing order
May be this option is selected.Uncheck this field ,your prob should be solved
Thank you
Bishal

The better way to do it might be by approval procedure. When the sales order is in the approved status, nobody can change it like the initial setting to untick Allow Changes to Existing Order. However, this will allow some orders you may still need to change somehow.
Thanks,
Gordon

Gordon, thanks for the suggestion. That's a good point so I may go the approval route....if i can get my approvals to fire.
Bishal, you were right, but the problem is that I have lots of open sales orders in my test company already so B1 won't allow me to uncheck the box. It's ok since this is just the test company, but I wish the B1 documentation or training tutorials would point out this fact cause it's something that needs to be addressed before a company goes live.
