Search for Material MAster in SAP using MPN number alone

Hi all,

We are connecting to SAP through JCO to search for all the Material Master using the following search parameters,

1. Material Number

2.Material Description

3. MPN number (Manufacturer Part number)

While using MPN number is it observed that entering only MPN number is not sufficient, we need to enter Manufacturer Number as well, and the field for Manufacturer number doesnot accept wildcard character (*).

Is there a way to search for MM in SAP through JCO using MPN number alone wothout the need to enter Manufacturer number.

Note: the customer is not willing to make changes to their SAP so if a standard function could satisfy this requirement it would be great.

No, there is not. But just ask a colleague who has the authorization to download the note for you until you get the authorization yourself.

Hi Antal,

Thank you for the response.When i open the link it says i need an S-userID to view the note. It may take some time to arrange that. Is there any other way I could see the note?
