goods issue to cost center

Hello all,

I would like to know what is the purpose or use of goods issue to cost center. why is this process or procedure carried out. pl. advise.

Hi,

You can post GI from MIGO / MB1A with or without refering to a reservation.

The purpose is to issue material from stock for "consumption".

Dummy examples:

You store large amount of office material (e.g. paper) and office staff wants to use from it > you give them and those papers are no longer in stock.

You may have so called non-core materials for your production (e.g. things to maintain machines), that are not part of BOM, since they do no build directly into the SFG / FG. If mainatance workers use from this, you give this material from stock > you post GI.
