I deployed DataHub 1.0.4 CAL image on Google Cloud Platform, entered IP addresses into my hosts file and set up everything according to the SAP document (Getting started with DataHub) but connection was refused, and/or network errors, no connection, etc...
Any ideas?
I'm almost absolutely sure I have the correct entries. My entries are as follows (anonymized):
35.240.x1.y1 vhcalhxedb # -- SAP Data Hub Application
35.241.x2.y2 vhcalruntime # -- SAP Data Hub Distributed Runtime
I can connect now, after re-creating everything from scratch, but now I get errors saying: "invalid certificates" in Chrome, and Firefox complains about "self signed certificates" and does not accept them.
I can add exception rules to the browser, but then I end up with an empty page in the Data Hub Console after logon.

Hello Walter,
I would double check the configuration in the etc hosts file. Could there be a chance that you have swapped the ips for SAP Data Hub Application and SAP Data Hub Distributed Runtime
Best Regards,
Tsanko
