Outline agreement, planned delivery time

Hi all!

I'm wondering about the functionality of the planned delivery time (PDT) in outline agreements. Especially I'm interested in the influence to the MRP.

When I understood correctly the MRP only considers the PDT of the info record - and if there is no info record, the PDT of the material master will be used.

My experiance is that the MRP does no consider the PDT of the outline agreement. For me that's strange.

If anybody could explain the meanings of the different PDT (outline agreement, info recort, material master) it would be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

Helmut

Create the source list and assign the agreement to the source list and make the MRP relevant indicator active in the source list than it will take the PDT of agreement.

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for that.

But that's done already.

If there is a PR created during MRP it recognizes that there is a source list with an agreement and refers to it.

But it doesn't calculate with the PDT of the agreement.

Strange, isn't it?

When you run the MRP which delivery date is it giving ?how many days is it considering?

For example:

Planned delivery date in agreement: 20 days,

in info record: 25 days,

in material master: 30 days.

In this case the MRP calculates with 25 days (out of info record).

If I delete the info record, the MRP calculates with 0 days! Means, also the setting in the material is ignored.

Thanks for you hints.

hi,

This is because MRP takes source list with the source as a consideration...so when you delete the inforecord, system can't find the data..and in the std sap system, the source are outline agreements, inforecord, etc...

If the quota arrangement is maintained after this in the source list, then system may also take that as a priority..

check and revert back..

I did same changes in the arrangement as well in the source list. But there is no change in behaviour of the MRP.

That are the current entries in the source list:

Valid from Valid to Vendor POrg PPl. OUn Agreement Item Fix Blk MRP MRP Area

26.02.2009 31.07.2009 13466 1002 Pc 4600001263 10 X(Fix) 1(MRP)

26.02.2009 31.12.2999 13466 1002 0 X(Blk)

The agreement is taken for the source determination and is mentioned in the created PR.

And what is strange as well: in the PR, under "Quantities/dates" there is the correct PDT (out of agreement) mentioned, but obviously the calculation of the Release date was done with the PDT out of the info record...

Sorry, I'm not sure about your question. What exactly do mean with "lead time"?

I suppose you mean the delivery date (calculated by MRP). So this I take from the "Additional Data for MRP Element" and it also can be seen in the created PR in tab "Quantities/dates".
