Former Member

Hello all

when trying to FREE old packages of DB2 Connect Version 8 we get DSNECP46 because the collection ID looks líke SAP08.02.0005 . The periods "." in the name are not accepted which I understand. Now PK00017 says : try DROP PACKAGE or SAP08.02.005 in SAP08025 . I even tried to enclose in " or ' .

Has anybody been succesful in freeing or dropping those packages ?

Thanks in advance

Martin,

Try enclosing the collection ID in quotes:

DROP PACKAGE "SAP08.02.0005".SQLA1E00;

that was exactly what I searched for. It is funny but I thought that I had tried all possíble combinations, yours included. Many thanks for your help , it was easier for me than Thomas Vogt's suggestion which would have solved the problem as well.

Hallo Herr Ketterer,

You can use db2radm with DROPCOLID option:

...
DROPCOLID : <free Collection ID> required parameter -C
                                 optional parameters -u -p
...
