Replication from a non-SAP system to the Central Finance

Target system: Central Finance S4 HANA 1709 01 (01/2018) FP

Hello, colleagues. I need your help!

Maybe I'm wrong, but when creating a configuration for non-SAP / Central Finance replication, the behavior of the system is not fully consistent with the documentation.

1.Note 2154420 citation: «In order to ensure that in case of the Central Finance Scenario no simple table replication will be done, it is recommended to specify the application CFIN (or CFIN_PI) when the SLT configuration is defined”.

When I try to follow this recommendation, the system generates an informative exception:

When I try to follow recommendations and use the program IUUC_REPL_PREDEF_OBJECTS, the system generates error:

Hi Mikhail,

I guess you have created a configuration with non-SAP source. According Note 2610660 you have to create staging table using attached report. It means that you have to have as source system normal ABAP system. In most cases it the same SLT system.

In such cases you have to use as source system either RFC connected system or NONE if the source system = SLT system.

And then you will not get the error message from screenshot 2.

Hello Everyone

I am pretty new to CFIN SLT replication and there are tons of notes which are driving me crazy. Does anyone of you has a document which explains step by step on how to proceed. It would be highly appreciated if you could share anything relevant to the CFIN SLT replication. I have generated the staging tables and uploaded the files using DMC_UPLOAD_OBJECT. I have also created a config in LTRC from SLT to HANA. Now, when i go into Data Provisioning and try to Start replication for any tables starting with /1LT/CE_* it says that the table is not available in the source system.

Kindly advise and thanks for your input.

Indeed, at first I expected that it would be possible to configure replication of data from a non-sap system in central finance in one configuration. You told me another, the right option.

I created two configurations: a non-sap system > an staging area of SLT, and staging area of SLT > CF. This is the working solution, the non-sap system data is replicated to the CF.

Hi Michael,

As far as I know, specifying application name CFIN_PI (Business Integration scenario) is required for SAP source systems. And it also depends on the DB licence you have on your source system. Did you check on the licence type?

Also, what is the error message you are getting when trying to create configuration using CFIN_PI?

Thanks for the answer. My case is replication from a non-SAP system to Central Finance. My problem is that the system does not allow me to select the CFIN or CFIN_PI options, as recommended by note 2154420. The first screenshot (see above) shows the system message about an exception. The message does not contain the error number and comment. Maybe my case is not relevant to note 2154420?

Hi Michael,

Yes, it could be not relevant for you, as per my knowledge its relevant for SAP to SAP scenario. Moreover, if its not CFIN_PI, its automatically CFIN even you do not specify.

Please try creating keeping the field blank.

I tried to keep this field blank. Then the system makes a simple replication to the database table of HANA, not posting in the central finance ((

I tried to follow the recommendation of note 2610660 and define for my configuration the predefined objects CFIST_ACDOC_L CFIST_ACDOC_R. I used the program IUUC_REPL_PREDEF_OBJECTS for this. But the system reported an error (see screenshot 2 above).

Now I do not understand, what else to do.

Hi Michael,

I have done SLT replication for CFIN with and without using CFIN_PI. You may be missing some steps while copying the objects using the program IUUC_REPL_PREDEF_OBJECTS.
