Email content not inserted correctly into service ticket (ER)

When we have an embedded object, like a logo, within an inbound e-mail then the e-mail content is not being copied across to the Service ticket (ER) notes correctly. Any e-mail without an embedded image works just fine. The e-mail itself is fine, there seems to be some config that is defined to copy the e-mail into the IR/ER notes that seems to be at fault.

We have found an OSS note related to this, and have applied it, but to no avail. The problem still persists.

Has anyone encountered this problem before and fixed it ?.
