There is a calendar in ECC, which is the manufacturing calendar, this calendar is transferred to APO through the CIF. What I need to understand and know is how to configure different resources with different manufacturing schedules. For example resource 1 with a calendar of 5 days, resource 2 with a calendar of 6 days and resource 3 with 7 days. And the objective is that the SNP does not generate planned orders when the resource is not available.
Hello Fernando,
In APO there are 2 places where you can maintain calendars which would affect production planning.
1. in resource master
This is the calendar which gets cifed from ECC and is the same as assigned in workcenter. It is the factory calendar can be view/maintained via SCAL transaction. This calendar's main function is to control the capacity availability and detailed scheduling of the operations.
2. There is a APT time series calendar which can be maintained via /SAPAPO/CALENDAR and can be assigned to a location in APO. This has to the order scheduling, its like working day for the order finish day etc. If this is not maintained APO considers the factory calendar assigned to the Location country.
So for your specific requirement of different resources with different working days you need to assign different calendars in the resource master.

Hello,
You can create different calendars in ECC and assign it to work center/resource. Then CIF resource will have all these calendar.
Use program RSIMPCUST to transfer calenders from ECC to APO.
Or you can create manually these FC in SCAL in APO and assign them to resource manually in /SAPAPO/RES01.
Please note in this case CIF can ovewrite it.

Hi Fernando,
in what deepness are you curious about the resources calendar maintenance?
In general the APO calendar can be maintained under /SAPAPO/CALENDAR transaction.

Is it something you can start with?
