Number Range setting for transaction

Hello Experts

We are using transacion type ZOR in ECC. This transactio type is been used by ECC team to create order as it is a global transaction type. ZOR is been assigned INTERNAL NUMBER RANGE in ECC.

In CRM we are also using the ZOR transaction type.

In our region specific scenario CRM will be the leading system to create transactions with respect to ZOR.

We dont want to change the internal number assignment in ECC.

Is there any way where we can still create the orders in CRM without maintaining the internal number range in CRM?

Or to create another transaction type is the only option to suffice our region specific requirement?

Thanks and Regards

DJ

If all your ZOR orders will be created in CRM then you can assign that number range to CRM (based on your last ZOR order number) but then in ECC you must make that number range an external number range.

For example if your ECC ZOR order range started at #1 and was up to 750. Then change that range to end at 750. Start a new external number range starting at 751. The CRM internal number range would start at 751 and would pass the order to ECC.

If some ZOR orders are going to be created in CRM & some in ECC then you need to have 2 number ranges based on the system of entry.
