Dear All,

My client requirement is that they need a predispatch inspection but when i use sd inspection with respect to delivery using inspection type 10..a lot gets generated and i can do results recording and all but stock doesnt come into consideration over there..there is no stock posting.

But for my requirement i have to do a partial acceptance...how can i meet this any possible solution??

As far as standard SAP there is no stock posting for delivery inspection...

Can anything be done in this case..any customising for movt type or something???

If you need inspection lot with stock posting while delivering then inspection type 10 will not help you. What can be recommended is that let the production storage location and the pick up for delivery stock be different and activate 08 inspection lot.

Whenever a delivery has to be done transfer the material from Production storage location to picking location. inspection lot will be created accordingly and you can do the stock posting

But inspection type 10 is more stronger in the delivery area

That will serve my stock posting purpose but as u said inspection type 10 will have reference to sale order and all..

When sales order is created... lot of Inspection type 10 is created.

Even if stock posting is not there Outbound delivery can not be made for lot under QI stock.

so create sales order only for quantity for which outbound delivery is to be created.

That is only one solution.

Dear Sujith,

Here the problem is if the delivery is created for 100 tons and then a lot gets generated.i can perform results entry and all then finallyin usage decision for 10,11,12 insp types there is no stock posting

So i can only do accept UD for allowing PGI or else if i reject UD the it blocks PGI

But according to my requirement i want to do partial acceptance ike 90 to be dispatched and 10 to be blocked.Is there any other solution

Hi JR

When You are taking Usage Decision inQA11----> Enter UD code (Ssy AP)

Now click on "defective Qty"( Ctrl+F7)

Enter Defective quantity ( say 10 out of 100) and save.

But your solution dint help my case actually...i have selected a ud code and entered some partial quantity in defective quantity and saved usage decision.

But when we do post goods issue system allows entire quanitity and once its saved stock also gets reduced...in short system doesnt prevent or check the defective quantity.
