BOM has no items relevant to costing.

Hello all,

When I try to create a cost estimate for a material using CK11N I get this message "No itemization exists for material XXXX in plant xxx"

If I enter on the message I get another message in the log "BOM XXXX /alt. 1 /usage 1 has no items relevant to costing"

I have checked the BOM for the above material and it is Productive and valid. I have also checked the materials in the BOM and they are all relevant to costing (the "relevant to costing" indicator is 'X')

What might be the reason for the above 2 messages.

Any help will be appreciated

Thanx

BOM should be relevant for costing.

Please create BOM with correct BOM usage.

Create BOM with BOM Usage (3-Universal or 6-Costing)

Then carry out cost estimation transaction

Plse check that at least one of the components on the BOM is marked "relevant to costing" in the BOM structure. (CS02, if I remember correctly, assuming you're using repetitive.)

I have checked the BOM and all the components in the BOM are marked as relevant to Costing.
