In Web-Intelligence, is there a way to change the thickness of a line in a line chart?

Tony,

There is no way to do what you ask in WebI (charting & graphing in WebI leaves much to be desired).

One thing you can try to do in an effort to make a slight improvement is to turn off the "3-D" option on the chart (via Properties).

Thanks,

Thanks, John. I'm not using 3D-chart. The original problem I was facing was that the lines in the chart don't show up in some scales (so basically I have to adjust the zoom rate, e.g., to different values 125%, 150% etc. to have all lines show up) when the report is saved as a PDF document. I thought changing the thickness of lines may help. But it looks like this is not supported. I'm not very sure on what you mean about turning off the 3D option since the chart is a 2D line chart.

Tony,

I'm not very sure on what you mean about turning off the 3D option since the chart is a 2D line chart.

I mentioned this because the default behavior in WebI is when you turn a grid to a graph, it defaults to "3D Look" -- this is verifiable by turning a grid to a graph, then click once on the graph and go to Properties and look under the Display heading and observing that the entry "3D Look" is automatically enabled, so to turn it off remove the "check mark". In some cases, turning off the "3D Look" will improve the line, but not in all cases -- just a shot in the dark.

thanks,

John
