Communicate with ECC 60

Good Evening SAP Guru's,

My current client are having communication issues between B1 and 6.0 system. The B box was set-up originally with SAP best practices and the 6.0 was not.

What is the solution here? I am looking for some direction on how to attack this issue.

I should have included this. My client currently runs 2 instances, B1 and 6.0. The problem is that they are not in synch or set-up i.e. B1 was set up with best practices and 6.0 was not. Other than the config, etc are different, is there anything else I should look out for?
