Change Personnel SubArea

Hi,

I need to Change Personnel SubArea for some employees for testing purpose.

When I try to change the Personnel Subarea Using PA30,

I am Getting an Error message

"Change before earliest retro. date 01/01/2009 acc. to control rec. to py area US"

or some times the error is

The chosen position number is not available in the position table (T528B).

Is there any round about to Change Only personnel Sub area.

Note : I just want to assign employee to different personnel subarea under the same Personnel Area

Hi,

the error is because of the control record of that particular payroll area. if it is testing purpose you can play around in sad box by deleting control record and do your changes to your requirement. but it is not advisable to change control record in other clients.

Is there a way that i could elimimate the error

The chosen position number is not available in the position table (T528B)

For the employee with the Control record,I could not delete the same

"Only Display or Change can be used for infotype Payroll Status (0003)"

Check the Validity period of the Postion Object

if u are doing in Sand box Change the Eariliest Date or check It003 thru Pu03

for the message pertaining to the presence of a position in T528B, run RHINTE20 report for that specific position that will transfer the OM object to PA table.

I could not alter the Control record,But I could change SubArea for Some test employees.

Assigned the points.

Also Could you please let me know where the cost center is being assigned for an existing employee.

Because In PA30,The field is disabled for input.

Check the table V_T77S0: PLOGI, ORGA and look for the integration switch. This drives the cost center, jobs, positions etc.

If the system is just a sandbox system, you can change the control record (PA03) values so that the system will allow you to change the PSA.
