How to download BI Queries(more than 2) Output into a single PDF file?

Dear All,

Requirement:

How to download BI Queries(more than 2) Output into a single PDF file?

Purpose:

The user wants to see 9 queries output into a single file (preferably a zipped file), sent to his email id on daily basis.

Constraints:

1) The user may not have SAP GUI on his system.

2) The user do not want to log into the portal. (otherwise I would not have needed this help)

Please help me with all possible ways to achieve this task.

Hi ,

The best way, I think,Embed your queries into a single template in Web application designer.(You can do this by using number of dataproviders in WAD). Then from the template result , you can generate a single pdf.

Couple of more questions on your suggestion:

1) How to generate the PDF automatically from WAD on daily basis?

2) How to email the PDF automatically on daily basis?

you can use information broaqdcasting to do this.... and you can broadcast to an e-mail address as a PDF document if you hav adobe document services installed...

Hi avi,

Query results would best be viewed with the help of excel sheets. You can have the query results clubbed together into a workbook and you can send it over to an external email address, This is called as Precalculation of workbooks and this is again achieved via Information broadcasting. There are a couple of settings that you need to make for the same. Let me know if you need futher assistance.

Thanks for your time on my question.

I was able to boradcast the set of queries using WAD.

Now, i have to check if it is automated for daily boradcast of not.

I think we can close this thread.
