ROS Client Config for supplier registration

Hi,

I want to config supplier registration for my client, can anyone tell me how to configure the ROS client seperately along with the SRM client, what is the Basis activites involved for the ROS client config is there any relevant document available i have seen the functional config activities in the sourcing guide.Please let me know how i can build the ROS as a different client.

Following are the tasks .

1.Create a Service User with Roles: SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEUSER, SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEVENDOR and assign it to SRMSUS_SELFREG, ROS_SELF_REG, and also activate them. Find them following /defaulthost/SAP/BC/BSP/SAP with TCODE SICF.

2.Create an inbound service Email for questionnaires and from TCODE: SO50 create following entry "Recipient Address: inbound email address created, Document Class: INT, Exit Name: CL_UWS_FORM_RUNTIME"

3.RFC destination to ROS client

4.Perform XI relavant settings.

Since i am new to Supplier Regustration activites, i am little confused.I am not able to visualize clearly on the ROS and SRM as two different clients.Please guide further.

So the ROS client is a similar copy of SRM client ( from Basis Point of view) meaning- the basis team have to build another SRM client and perform ROS related activites and this would be called as ROS client,and these two systems will be interconnected using XI, please correct it if i am wrong with my understanding.Then we need to create the supplier Questionare in SRM system.Please let me know your comments on this.

The Best practice is to have ROS on different client than SRM. Thus basis needs to build new client for ROS/SUS. You can enable message exchange between SUS and SRM with XI( you would need to perform XI settings for this). Supplier questionnnaire are created in SUS client.

I am going through the sourcing guide for the supplier registration configuration. It would be very kind of you if you can pass on any configuration material which you have related to complete supplier registration process, what exactly has to be done in SUS client and what has to be done in SRM client and what would be the role of XI. ggl708 at the rate googlemail dot com

Hi,

You will need SAP XI system in between to configure two client EBP-ROS system. Start with creating your own web survey and questionaire-txn-ros_qstn_survey. Typical basis activity would be assign a service user to bsp application- ros_self_reg. You would need to make all config activity for supplier registration node in txn-spro. You will need to set up supplier screening in ROS and supplier directory in SRM system.You can find more details in strategic sourcing config guide at service sap.
