Hi PM Gurus,
I have created 100 object type in my company, now i want to create catalog porfile against that.Is it right to copy all the 100 object type and create catalog profile against those.either there is any other way for creating catalog profile.What is the best way to shorten our task by consider the total asset family

Hi Amit Rana,
You have created 100 object type in your company,the object type & class can be same.Say example Pump,Motor,gearbox like that.If you create the Catlogue profile with this 100 object type then it will be very critical for the users to search & select the object list in those 100 list.
So better you can create the object part in catlogue specific to the business identification say example in object type if you create as centrifugal pump,reciprocating pump.then no need to create 2 different object type in catlogue,you can specify as the Pump only.
So it is depend on how it is user friendly to your users to classify the fault.
There is no hard & fast rule in this.But try to classify as minimal.

Not able to understand properly ,you can assign the catlog profile to the equipment master data .if you have created 100 equipments then you can use LSMW for updating the catalog profile to the same
