Multiple Idocs to single file

Hi,

We have a scenario in which multiple idocs have to be combined and a single file has to be generated at the output.

Can someone suggest all the available options to achieve this.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Deepika.

Hi,

Like the suggestions given above, you can change the output mode in the partner profile and use XML File as the port wherein you have to specify the physical directory along with the path and the corresponding function module. An XML file would have been created in the directory specified in the XML port check using the Transaction AL11 and select your directory. The file could be downloaded onto the front-end system using the transaction CG3Y.

Thanks

Hi,

We can do by using multi mapping technique. Find below link for more help

Multimapping using BPM

/people/sudharshan.aravamudan/blog/2005/12/01/illustration-of-multi-mapping-and-message-split-using-bpm-in-sap-exchange-infrastructure

multimapping without BPM

/people/jin.shin/blog/2006/02/07/multi-mapping-without-bpm--yes-it146s-possible

OR

We can do some other way also, follow below steps

1. Configure scenario separately for each idoc in XI/PI.

2. At receiver end all channels mentioned receiver path has unique with same file name

3. At receiver adapter select append mode, automatically all idocs will be move into one file.

Hi,

the only reasonable way (if you don't have EhP1 for XI)

is to use Stefan's blog:

Collecting IDocs without using BPM

blog #4443 what was mentioned a few times

just check it and you will have the whole scenario

@Nallam & @Ashwin

In any case, Multimaping without BPM doesn't seem to be a possibility.

You have one of the following options: Collect idocs at sender as file as suggested in Stefan's blog, if you have PI 7.1, EhP1, use idoc packaging at sender, or use multimapping with BPM.

Hi,

As raj suggested we can do IDOC collection at R3 end also (in partner profile outbound configuration select collect idoc option). Automatically idocs will be collect and generate into one file. Based on mention path in port (port type XML ), the file will be push. From that folder we need to pick file through file adapter and pass to receiver side.

or

Second method:

Configure scenario (idoc to file) in xi/pi. At receiver end file adapter choose append option. Automatically idocs will be push into file'

I hope now clear
