Batch creation at the time of order creation & confirmation on the batch.

Hi all,

My client's requirement is while creation of the production order of say 100 pcs, system should create 4 batches, each of 25 (this might be different every time) of that order & also the confirmation (CO11) should be done on those batches.

Also if the order contains 10 operations then confirmation of operation no. 0020 should not be possible before confirmation of 10, whether it is for partial & whole quantity.

You can say these batches will reprsent the lots.

The answers related to batch creation are given by other experts, well for confirmation u can use control key with milestone confirmation.

You can use this function to automatically create a batch for the material to be produced.

You can make the following settings in Customizing (production scheduling profile😞

No automatic creation of batches in production orders

Automatic creation of batches during order creation

Automatic creation of batches during order release

To carry out automatic batch splitting via batch determination, proceed as follows:

Select the component that you wish to split and choose Component ® Batch management ® Trigger batch det.

The system lists all batches that meet the selection criteria and that have available stock on the requirements date.

Distribute the required quantity as required over the existing batches.

Choose .

The system copies each batch as a separate component into the component overview screen.

For more information refer to Batch Determination.

To carry out manual batch splitting with manual batch assignment, proceed as follows:

Select the component for which you want to carry out batch splitting. Choose Edit ® Insert ® Batch split.

Enter the batch number and the required quantity manually in the component.

Save your entry.

You need to maintain following setting for automatic batch creation at the time of order creation :

Go to OPKP ( Production Scheduling Profile)----> Enter Plant & Profile -

---

>Batch Management

Maintain 1 Automatic batch creation at order creation and save the profile.

Assign this profile in Work scheduling view in material master.

However , as per my knowledge system will create only one batch for one order and not 4 batches as you mentioned.So inform your client accordingly.

I have done the required setting in production scheduling profile already. The batch number is getting generated but for the total order quantity. I want it has to be for the different lots. Any user exit?

Also the query related to confirmation is unanswered.

You can select milestone confirmation for an operation

in OPK4 u select terminate operation sequance is not adhera to

or u can use an user exit for this coz milestone key allow u to confirm othere operation if the privious one is prtialy confirmed

Hi,

As per std. you can not have more than one Batches per Prod. Order incase of Batch Creation in Order at the time Order Release or Creation.So if you want to more then one Batches then either,

- Use Different Prod. Order for different Batches. - With functionality of Batch Creation in Order.

- No Batch Creation in Order.In this case system will generates no. of Batches GR wise.So during Auto GR you have to split your GR qty as per required No. of Batches.

Now regarding 2nd problem I think that control is already there.But for more control you take help of User Exit.

Consult your abaper to write the code as per your need.

Hi Dhaval,

I have made changes in the confirmation parameters cos of which the requirement regarding the confirmation has fullfilled.

But I am not getting the exact solution for the first requirement. The exact need is to track the confirmations as well as the goods movement on the specific lots. Any user exit, any enhancement.
