BEx on BPC

Hi All,

I am new to BPC.

Can anyone tell me can BEx be used over BPC cubes for reporting.

Please provide me detailed explanation about the pros and cons of the same.

Hi Maddy,

SQE is the process run into NW to execute queries specific for SAP BPC.

SAP BPC was develop to be SOA - service oriented architecture.

So into application server of SAP BPC they have publish services which can be consumed by other clients.

For the moment these services are not public but soone we will have a HTG regarding this subject.

Yes because SAP BPC NW is using standard BW cube.

No, because to retrieve correct data for example members using dimension formula you have to use SQE (shared query engine) from SAP BPC and for that you need to use functions from Application server of SAP BPC.
