0580 infotype

Hi All,

I want to add the other sections in infotype 0580 Previous employment tax details. Can anyone plz let me know how to do this..

In the current system there are only three sections as Leave encashment,Gratuity and VRS exemption. I want to add PTax, PF, Medial exemption etc...How to add them?

Hi Vani,

Screen for IT0580 is somewhat confusion. If you hire an employee in the 1st day of Financial Year, that means 1st April, you will get only 4 fileds for Leave Encashment Exemption Amount, Gratuity Exemption, VRS Exemption and Number of LTA Exempt. We need to update only these fields which are required for that employee as this employee joined the new company from the 1st day of Financial Year. On contrary, if an employee joins in the mid of financial year, for example, 16th April, then the fields in IT0580 will change. You will get all the other fields also like Exemption u/s 10, Professional Tax, Provident Fund etc.

That means the fields in this infotype will appear according the the date of joining of the employee in the financial Year.

Thank you....My issue is solved. I have chkd with another employee who is hired other than 01 st of april where it is showing all the subheads.But initially i was looking for the employee who is hired on 01st of april so i was able to see only a few subheads..

hi...

Pls check the Date of Joining of the employee..

If the employee is hired before the start date of the financial year then the system will not allow you to maintain the all the fileds(Although internal structure of the table contains many other filds.)..

0588 is the infotype used for the eligibility for professional tax but i want to maintain the PTax or PF what an employee paid is his previous employment in 0580 infotype where i couldnt find that section in 0580...I want to add tht sections into 0580 infotype.

Plz help in this regard

Y do u want to maintain it in separate infotype... u can do it in 580 itself..

Hi Sri Vani,

If u check the standard IT0580 carefully, u'll get the section to maintain the PF & Ptax of other employers. Still facing problems. Let me know.

If my answer is not enough, then plz let me know the details of ur problem.

I want to maintain how much the employee has paid in his previous employment if he joins in the new organisation in the mid of the financial year...But to maintain tht details, the fields are not found in 0580 infotype..

Actually na u can check ECC5... the fields are available.. not sure of ECC6..

In std i can see only Number of LTA exempt , VRS exemption, Leave encashment exemption amount,Gratuity exemption....

Others are not seen in the infotype. Plz let me know the reason and the solution for it...

I'm also using ECC6.0, following are the subheads that I'm getting here in my system :

*Salary as per provisions u/s 17(1)

Value of perquisites u/s 17(2)

Profits in lieu of salary u/s 17(3)

Exemptions u/s 10

Professional Tax

Provident Fund

Income Tax Deducted

Surcharge Deducted

Education Cess Deducted

Medical Exemption

Leave Encashment Exemption Amount

Gratuity Exemption

VRS Exemption

Number of LTA Exempt

LTA Carried Forward*

Do u also see the same? If not ask ur Basis person abt it.

Thank you for your response...Yes Arnav i need the same sections in my infotype but cant view those subheads here. So it will be solved by the basis u mean.

Can i know the patch level maintained.

I'm not sure about the patch level. May be some of ur friends can intervene & give this solution.

But otherwise ur Basis person shud know this, if he is good enough. Points if helpful.
