layout tab empty

Dear all,

i am trying to create a webdynpro aplication through se80 on ecc 6.0

when i create a new view on the component, the layout tab is empty and says caanot be displayed,

instead actually ask me id and password.

what should i do to make it work.

For the layout tab to show something, you need to provide your login-id.In case it doesn't show anything,then you need to do the ip-configuration. By IP configuration I mean you need to add the specific IP details of the particular server you're working hosts.dll file usually located in C:\Windows\system32\drivers\

I hope it will serve your purpose.In case this too doesn't work, then basis people needs to do some configuration at their end.
