logon page using web page composer

Hi,

Using the web page composer iam desiging the logon page with the following properties

1) Display hyperlinks to open the PDF files

2) Rss Feeds to display the online news/weather conditions

3) Display the Current month calender

4) login screen for the enduser to login into the application

Is it possible the display the above without authentication from the enduser, if so please let me know the highlevel landscape.

Hi,

It may be difficult to achieve in web page composer.

There is other way of doing this.

best thing is to display the KM content. News can be published using XML templates.

XML templates can be created using xml form builder.

Give to admin full control rights to that particular folder in the KM content. so he will just change the content inside that folder, then automatically it will display in the login page. Also you have to use anonymous authentication to view the news in the login page.

Hi,

I understand the Point but why can't we use Rss Feeds directly by creating the XML iview and by giving the source of the xml file from internet.

and please explain me why we should create the portal service to read the RSS xml file and please let me steps the steps required in the portal server to make it working.
