SAP Logon behind proxy with authentication

Former Member

Hi gurus,

I'm newbie in SAP and am trying to connect to my SAP client at home.

My internet connection at home requires me to connect to proxy with authentication, that is username and password.

How could I set up my SAP to connect through that proxy, as there's nowhere to set proxy in SAP GUI.

Thanks gurus.

So I 'just' can not?

No other workaround?

Hi,

>No other workaround?

The solution is to setup a saprouter in the same DMZ where your HTTP reverse proxy is.

This is a network and security project.

For light use, you could also use webgui through your HTTP reverse proxy.

and can you tell me how i can connect through webgui?

is webgui a netweaver product?

most of my clients don't use netweaver product.

Hi,

Webgui/ITS is a way to access sapgui transactions from a web browser.

This is standard internally in abap SAP systems since basis realease 6.40 (internal ITS).

I suggest that you do a search in help.sap.com with "webgui" as keyword.

You will find how to configure it.

SAPLogon/SAPGUI doesn't work through an HTTP proxy.
