Exposing standard data source to ODP in SAP ECC will allow both extractions of standard and ODP?

Hi Members,

I would like to understand the behavior of standard data source after exposing to ODP. We have standard data source flow existed in place in production. Due to some technical issues I want to move on to ODP extraction and test the results. So, what is the best approach to have the ODP extraction on standard data source while its being used already in production. Seeking experts advice.

You can expose any dataSource to ODP without impairing existing dataflows on standard dataSource. You can even build two independant data flows from the same dataSource, one pointing to the standard datasource and the other to the ODP dataSource.
