Open new depreciation area (transaction AFBN)

Hello,

I have a question regarding opening new depreciation area via transaction AFBN. I created a new depreciation area to meet our tax department's requirement. This asset should have the same APC value as book (01).

I used transaction AFBN to activate the new depreciation area. However, I accidentally checked the "Leave values initial" checkbox and now there is no value populated in this area.

How could I re-populate the APC value in this depreciation area? I tried to run AFBN again and it didn't do anything. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Cassandra

Hi Cassandra,

you have to create a report which calls function module AA_AFABER_DELETE_FROM_ASSETS. This function module deletes the depreciation area information in the area you execute it with.

But be careful, this function has no test run and nothing. Test it out carefully! Afterwards you can execute AFBN again for these assets.

Regards,

Markus
