Initial Kanban Stock Upload for Event Driven Kanban

Hi,

Is there any soution for making initial kanbans "full" for event driven kanban?

During going live, there will be lots of kanbans in the warehouse. We want to see them in PK13N. They will be managed with event driven kanban.

When we create control cycle for event driven, it's not possible to write the number of kanbans.(of course it does not make any sense to give a number of kanban for event driven control cycle before, because it's event driven kanban, not classic kanban) But we need to show the full kanbans which are already in the warehouse(when orders sent to vendor, the materials were not managed with kanban, but they are now in the warehouse and will be managed via event driven)

Could you please share your comments?

Thanks,

Regards

Hi,

You need to define status sequence in OM16 in which you can define initial status Full and then assign the same status sequence while maintaining Control Cycle in PKMC.

Try the same & revert if any problem.

Hope this helps.

Hi Tejas,

Thanks for the reply.

I've checked there before. As I know we can not define a new status sequence. We can not change the status sequence "wait", "empty", "in process", "in transit", "full" and "in use". We can just change if these statuses are mandatory or optional etc. I've defined a new status sequence(we can just change properties of "wait" "in use" "in process" not the sequence) and tried to make "wait" status as mandatory, and assigned it to control cycle. I tried to make the kanban status wait, so I could make it "full" in the kanban correction without making the status "empty". I know that we can not make kanban status "wait" in the event driven kanban. But i thought it might work when making the status "wait" mandatory. But it also did not work. When i make PK23, the kanban is created with empty status.

Hi Fatih,

If status sequence is not working for you, then I dont think you can map your requirement with Event Driven Kanban. You can try one more thing , maintain Classic Kanban Cycle and use only one bin & lock other bin . In which you try to maintain status sequence wait to full.

I am not sure , but you can try.

Hope it works.
