Reading attribute value from characterstic in the Layout

Hi Friends,

My requirement is i need to display the attribute values from characterstic in the layout itself.

The characterstic is in the Headcolumn it has got variable in the planning level.

what is the best way to dipaly the attribute value in the layout without changeing it to leadcolumn.

I know if i change it to lead column, i can directly derive the attribute value, but i can't chage it lead column as per business.

Please suggest me something to read the attribute value in the layout.

You do not have any feature to show attribute value for characteristics in header column in BPS.

You can add the attribute of that characteristic in the planning level and create a characteristic relationship of type 'Attribute' for 'Proposal & Check'.

This may solve your problem.

Yes, i can add this attribute to level and i can create derviation of type attribute (derviation , Combnation check and proposal)

But my understand is

For derivaion the traget characterstic shou'd not be in the planning level

For diplaying the attribute in the layout it should be in the planning level

how to dipaly the attribute in the layout in these case (since the above two activiites are collateing each other)

Please suggest me how to configure this one.
