How to ensure that SLDDSUSER password Never Expires

Hi ,

In a EP7 Portal Installation

Log onto Portal as Admin User.

Content Admin --> Webdynpro --> Check SLD Connection

User specified is SLDDSUSER.

Test Connection Succeeds las long as SLDDSUSER pwd is valid.

If this users password Expires, Test Connection fails , all ESS applications using JCO fail.

How to ensure that SLDDSUSER password Never Expires ?

Hi,

Make that user as technical user. Go USer admin -> Identity Management -> select the user -> Click Modify -> under general tab ( make the user type as techincal)

Technical user password will never expires.

All Java ESS applications depend on this User's Connection to SLD.

Hi,

There is no side effects. Only diference what your doing is making the password to be permanent.

Rajendra,

If UME is ABAP then make it as service user or else follow the thing mentioned in the thread.
