Workflow triggering multiple times

Dear Frnds ,

I am facing the below issue in PR release workflow .

The scenario is mentioned below :---

PR is having 3 release codes S5,S6,S7

When i am creating a PR then it is triggering 4 times the Business object in SWEL , so that 4 times my workflow is getting triggered .

I have checked the entry in SWEC - change doc object is - BANF and inked on RELEASESTEPCREATED on CREATE for business object BUS2105 .

I am not getting where i am missing so that it is triggering the event for 4 times simultaneously .

Hi,

For PR Workflow the std. event triggers once only. Apart from this are you triggering event again via User Exit.

Thanks for the reply . Is the event for PR is triggering based on the entry of CHANGE DOCUMENT Object from the tcode - SWEC .

I have mentained the entries in SWEC as well as i have mentained 9 against each release code in SPRO .

Is this the reason for which PR is getting triggered multiple times .

For the same settings in DEV client PR is getting triggered one , but in QUALITY it is triggering 4 times .

Hi,

Yes Because of that. This has std. Event no need for configure in SWEC.

If your using the std. Workfow WS20000077 to pick the agent you can use the USER Exit M06B0001 - (EXIT_SAPLEBNF_001).

In the SPRO, there will be 3 Option, picking by User Exit or Table or Manually. Here you have to give user exit if your pick agent via user exit.

May be you confused on this, now remove that check it will work fine.

I am mentioning my scenario completely so that you will be clear enough to suggest me .

I have copied the standard workflow and activated my COPY workflow not the standard workflow .

I have mentioned the CHANGE DOCUMENT OBJECT -BANF in SWEC .

I have mentained 9 in SPRO settings .

After all these settings in DEVELOPMENT client event is triggering only once ., where as in QUALITY i have mentained the same entries , it is triggering 4 times .

I do agree with your point , but then how come in client it is working and in other client it is behaving differently .

I think i am bit confused on the same , please suggest . Please suggest me which entry i should use .

I have not done any coding in the exit - EXIT_SAPLEBNF_001 .

Is the same Workflow Template getting triggered 4 times or the standard one WS00000038 getting triggered.

I think the Workflow is for Item level Release so if the PR is subjected to 4 Release code 4 Workflow instance will be triggered each having separate release code.

Hi,

First point: when u run t-code swe2, what are the workflow which are displayed against the same busniess object. If the same workflow appears, for all the business objects then by mistake you must have configured the event linkage in swe2 t-code.

Goto swe2 event and check if event linkage is activated for the workflow. If it is checked, uncheck the checkbox.

Yah exactly the same this is happening 4 istances is getting triggered with 4 diff release codes .

But i have used the Business object BUS2105 , which is for header level release of PR , which triggers only one instance in DEVELOPMENT client .

I am using business object BUS2105 which is for header level release of PR . Then how it is triggering multiple times for different release codes of the PR simultaneously ?.

I am quiete surprised . If any body is having any idea please suggest .

Hi,

Did you removed the Entry in SWEC where it configured for CHANGE DOCUMENT. If not remove it and check.

Thanks for all of your reply . This is a issue related to Release strategy which has been changed by the function guy from " SINGLE RELEASE" TO"PARALLER RELEASE" .

This is why multiple no of times event was getting triggered for multiple release codes .
