Error in Costing Run

at the time of costing run i got following message :

Material RA3000000 in plant 1000 contains marked cost estimate

Message no. CK170

Diagnosis

You are costing material RA3000000 in plant 1000. The material has a marked standard cost estimate for this period.

System Response

The costing results of the marked cost estimate remain in the material master record as the future standard price.

Procedure

If you want to overwrite the future standard price in the material master record with the results of the new cost estimate, you must mark the new cost estimate.

So i did CKR1 for the material and then again done run but the same error comes.

please help me .

Hi

I think you need to release the previous cost estimate (CK24N) or to delete the cost estimate before you run cost estimate for the same material.

Dear Slng,

The error clearly shows that the particular material has already a marked cost estimate.

So either you have to cancel the existing marked cost estimate using CKR1 and then give a try.

This Marked cost estimate might be lying under future cost estimate column in costing 2 view.

Check it.Once if you release then goes and marked under Current Std.cost estimate column.

N.B: Using CKR1 is not advisable.
