Conversion of Unit of Measure

How can I check conversion of UOM in the system? The scenario was like this : Sales order unit of measure was in tin but the encoder changed the default unit of measure to pcs. What was defined to our material master was tin but not pcs. How come there was conversion computed in the system? Can anyone help me solve this issue?

Hi,

In the sales order1 view of material master if sales unit not actv is not checked then system will allow to change the sales unit of measure at the time of sales order and it will ask for conversion of units in the sales order it self.

To avoid this problem you have to check this indicator in sales order1 view.

Actually we really allow the change of unit of measure in sales order. But how come the unit of measure entered which is PCS was accepted by the system even it was not maintaned in the material master.

When actually, i mean during the execution of which transaction this conversion is happening?

It was during VA01 where the encoder changed the unit of measure.

Check in material master, whether UOM conversion is maintained there or not.

Check in additional data.

PCS was not maintained in material master. The base unit of measure maintained was TIN.
